Teaching Assistant – Sept start 35 hours per week
We are recruiting for a teaching assistant for September start to on a full time temporary basis in the Reading area. This role is to work with students with autism and learning disabilities and experience with children with special education needs is required.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning under the guidance of teachers.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting individual or small groups of students with learning activities
Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
Providing one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
We are looking for candidates who are:
Enthusiastic, flexible, and reliable
Confident working with children and young people
Able to adapt quickly to new school environments
Strong communicators with a positive, can-do attitude
Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable, but not essential. Training and guidance will be provided.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience working with children with special educational needs.
