REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum polytechnic diploma with 2 years of working experience in relevant field of CNC machining, preferably in Turning, Milling and/or Multi-axis Multi-tasking Machining Centers.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD software i.e. SolidWorks, and/or experience in CAM software such as HyperMill, MasterCAM or NX, would be advantageous for the role.
• Possess good engineering background & application knowledge in metal cutting principles and techniques in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Coupled with this experience, the candidate will require to have excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and oral and have a high degree of self-motivation.
• Possess a positive attitude towards problem-solving and strong sense of urgency in handling of projects/responsibilities.
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills.Be prepared to travel to support regional offices for enquiry and project support including execution of turnkey projects.

• Evaluate and recommend suitable machine models and options based on customers’ workpiece/project requirements.
• Draft machine recommendation or turnkey project proposals based on customer’s requirements, which may include designing and proposing optimum machining processes, performing time studies, proposing optimal tools and designing of fixture concepts.
• Create machining programs and perform test cuts for customer workpieces.
• Conduct programming and operation training to customers.
• Provide on-site/field support for new machine commissioning, workpiece test cut and machine runoffs.
• Provide technical support to customers, either remotely or on-site, at customer’s premises.Perform product demonstrations and setting up of machines in showroom for customer visits or company events.
