PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a manufacturing environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to: talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, grasp, pick, lift, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. The employee must frequently lift and /or move 50 pounds. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate production machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach
This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Develop preventative maintenance tasks for all assets
Meet with the Maintenance Team to plan & schedule weekly PM Plan for next week and publish the PM Schedule
Receive all PM’s back from all the parties and log them into SAP
Preventative maintenance tasks include:
Detailed, step by step instructions on how to perform the work.
Diagrams, photos, parts lists, and a list of all tools and materials required to perform the work.
An estimate of the time required to perform the work that includes a DUE Date as well
Identify assets and logs them into the SAP
Creates accurate asset records
Is a subject matter expert in the use of SAP
Creates work orders from requests submitted by plant personnel ·
Arranges for outside contractors to perform maintenance related work on site
Works with maintenance personnel to revise PM tasks as needed based on new information about the equipment failure modes and PM Audits
Works with the Purchasing Department and Parts Supervisor to ensure that necessary parts are ordered in time to perform planned or preventive maintenance work
Assists the Purchasing and Parts Coordinators to organize and manage the spare parts inventory
Spends time in the plant, gathering information on equipment and maintenance methods
Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, mechanical/electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required service
Creates, and runs each Wednesday weekly backlog and forecast PM-reports in percentage and in Diagram/ PowerPoint format and weekly Labor Hour Reports in excel format from information in the SAP
Monthly PM-reports of completion range in percentage and in Diagram/PowerPoint format
Analyzes data from SAP to help improve the efficiency of the maintenance work, and to improve equipment reliability ·
Participates in the implementation of the SAP maintenance program
Analyze and develop efficient maintenance procedures
Identify and correct inefficient and/or inadequate preventive maintenance and work orders and recommend improvements to the maintenance program
Track maintenance performance measures and trends and produce reports thereof
Forecast skill and equipment needs
Plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders
Allocate resources and manage multiple tasks
Plan and schedule major projects and equipment overhauls
Research equipment performance evaluations
Observe or monitor people’s behavior, data, or objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standard, submit observations to Management Team
Work cooperatively with Management Team, Maintenance Trainer, PM- Senior Technician, Equipment Leads and Shift Leads for solutions to increase the planned and preventive work
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Ability to work with limited supervision
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
