JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and maintain lathe machines to produce precision parts. The role requires knowledge of machining techniques, ability to read technical drawings, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathe machines to perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, and other machining operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of parts.
• Select, install, and align cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Monitor machine operations, adjusting feeds, speeds, and cutting tools to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of production, quality checks, and machine performance.
• Adhere to workplace safety rules and company policies.
  

  * Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely delivery of production targets.

Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Machinist trade or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Lathe Operator (manual or CNC).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop math.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges).
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with CNC lathe programming (Fanuc / Siemens controllers).
• Exposure to lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Knowledge of other machining operations (milling, drilling, grinding).

  Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
