Description Position Summary: Responsible for schematic capture and layout design of analog, RF and high speed digital printed circuit boards for mission critical public safety communication systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for PCB layout using Cadence or similar PCB design tools Coordinate with the hardware design team, NPI team, or manufacturing teams for PCB layout and manufacturing support Responsible for all aspects of board design including DFM/DFT/DFA Prepare design documentation including layout checklists and design release Assist hardware design team with performance improvements and design verification Requirements Knowledge & Skills: • Experience with Cadence or similar PCB design tools • Experience with Keysight Technologies ADS or similar design tools a plus • Experience in routing with DFM/DFT/DFA constraints and entering constraints into Constraint Manager. • Excellent knowledge of IPC standards, HDI, back drilling, stackup selection, constraint manager • Proven experience in designing boards for high volume production, optimizing for reduced number of layers, and cost • Strong Excel, Access, MS Word, Power Point, skills required • Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Able to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications: • Minimum of 8 year’s experience in analog, RF and high-speed digital rigid and flexible board layout/design • Experience in generating library parts from manufacturing data a plus. • Strong troubleshooting skills Working Conditions & Physical Demands: • Work typically takes place in a normal office environment requiring: sitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing • Operate a PC and other office equipment • Travel between floors and office buildings may be required • Environmental conditions: noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals BK Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
