1x permanent post, hours - 30 hours per week, shift pattern - 5/7
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 AHP generic support worker to work within the acute setting at the Vale of Leven Hospital. The post holder will be a valued member of our integrated Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy service and will work across the older peoples and stroke service and medical wards.
Our aim is to provide an integrated PT/OT service to facilitate timely and safe discharge for our patient group. We strive to provide a patient centred approach to ensure our patients needs are addressed.
The Band 3 generic support worker will provide clinical and non-clinical support to the physiotherapy and occupational therapy team on site. This will include delivery of individual patient treatment programs, discharge planning and onward referral to community agencies. The post holder will also be responsible for admin and housekeeping duties, as well as stock monitoring and ordering.
You must be flexible, innovative, patient centred and a team player with good communication skills as well as having a desire to participate in the development of the service.
Previous NHS experience preferable, and a full driving licence is essential for this post.
