ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Go live 1, December 6th, 2025 .75 hours of training, 150 hours of scheduled work.
The anticipated hire date for this position is November 3, 2025. Candidates must be available for up to 75 hours of training between their start date and December 6, 2025. Beginning December 6, full-time hours will be scheduled for a four-week period to provide hyper phase support during Go-Live 1. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends to align with 24/7 clinical operations across Nova Scotia Health sites. Flexibility in scheduling and site deployment is required.
Following the four-week Go-Live period, successful candidates will transition to a true casual status and may be re-engaged for subsequent Go-Lives throughout 2026 based on availability, performance, and organizational need.
The ATE Support role for the OPOR project is structured to provide robust, in-person and virtual support across the province during six pivotal Go-Live phases. This role involves shift work, with schedules varying based on the project stage. During the Hypercare phase, you will be expected to work shifts that provide 24/7 coverage. In contrast, the pre-Go-Live period will typically follow a standard Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. schedule.
This flexible arrangement supports effective project delivery while prioritizing work-life balance and personal commitments. We welcome applicants from all regions of Nova Scotia, with no requirement to relocate to Halifax. However, extensive travel to Go-Live sites will be required during the Pre and Go Live phases. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for professionals seeking meaningful contributions to the OPOR project while benefiting from the flexibility and variety of a province-wide initiative.
As an At The Elbow (ATE) Support Consultant, you will play a crucial role as the primary liaison between healthcare professionals and the advanced technology systems they rely on. Your responsibilities include providing immediate, hands-on support for the OPOR CIS system and other key IT applications. By delivering on-site assistance, resolving technical issues, and offering personalized training, you will empower frontline staff to focus on patient care without being impeded by technology challenges. Your expertise will ensure that healthcare technology implementation and usage are aligned with organizational objectives, driving enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of care across the system.
Casual Surge hires: These positions will be offered full time for 6 weeks for each of the 6 Go Lives throughout the province.
