The Braine L’Alleud site is expected to close by end 2027, with future duty stations shifting to Brussels or Mons, depending on function and business needs. As a CIS Security Officer, you will play a key role in protecting NIMSC systems, assessing risks, ensuring compliance with NATO security frameworks and supporting the accreditation and operational readiness of NIMSC capabilities. The role combines hands-on security work, governance and risk management, and close coordination with the NATO Cyber Security Centre. What you will be doing You will contribute to a wide range of CIS security activities, including: • Conducting vulnerability assessments, security risk assessments and business impact analyses • Monitoring security operations, reviewing incidents, escalating issues and supporting investigations when required • Planning and coordinating security architecture development with the NATO Cyber Security Centre for large scale systems and networks • Assessing change, access and configuration requests from a CIS Security perspective to ensure compliance with NATO policies and standards • Producing and updating accreditation documentation, supporting security accreditation processes and liaising with accreditation authorities • Tracking CIS threats, advising on mitigation measures, and contributing to policy and security framework development • Supporting the enrolment of NIMSC systems into monitoring and incident response programmes, and maintaining the CIS Security Risk and Issue Register • Providing CIS security advice, training and awareness sessions to technical staff, project managers and service delivery teams For a full list of duties, please review the job description on the NCIA career site.
