EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – Internal/External Quality Assurance Manager Full-Time Permanent Location – Kenora POSITION SUMMARY: Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services (AAFS) is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Agency’s quality assurance, compliance monitoring, data integrity, and continuous quality improvement functions. Reporting to the Director of Services, the Quality Assurance Manager oversees the Quality Assurance Team, including the Quality Assurance Workers and Statistician, ensuring quality assurance activities support effective service delivery outcomes and compliance with applicable legislation, Ministry directives, agency standards, and First Nation mandates. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Program Managers and leadership teams to strengthen accountability, service quality, documentation standards, and culturally appropriate practices across agency programs. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the Quality Assurance Workers and Statistician.  * Lead quality assurance activities including file audits, compliance reviews, service quality reviews, and quality improvement planning.  * Monitor compliance with the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Federal Indigenous child welfare legislation, Ontario Child Protection Standards, Foster Care Licensing, and agency policies and procedures.  * Identify service gaps, documentation deficiencies, compliance concerns, and operational risks while recommending corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.  * Oversee data quality, statistical reporting, performance measurement, and analysis of program trends and service outcomes.  * Prepare and present reports regarding compliance, program trends, quality indicators, and service improvement opportunities.  * Support training initiatives related to quality assurance, documentation standards, auditing practices, and data integrity.  * Collaborate with program teams to strengthen service accountability, reporting accuracy, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.  * Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and organizational planning initiatives.  * Promote culturally appropriate quality assurance practices that reflect Anishinaabe values, Customary Care principles, and First Nation community priorities. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree considered an asset.  * Minimum five (5) years of related experience in Indigenous child welfare, quality assurance, compliance, data analysis, program evaluation, or social services.  * Strong knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Federal Indigenous child welfare legislation, Ontario Child Protection Standards, and Foster Care Licensing requirements.  * Demonstrated understanding of Customary Care, First Nation community structures, family systems, and Anishinaabe traditions.  * Experience leading audits, compliance reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and program evaluation activities.  * Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.  * Experience with client information systems, reporting systems, and data analysis tools.  * High level of professionalism, accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.  * Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.  * Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver’s Abstract required.  * Ability to speak Anishinaabemowin is preferred and considered an asset.   WORKING CONDITIONS: The work will primarily be performed in a typical office environment at AAFS headquarters in Kenora. The position may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings or weekends, to support operational requirements and organizational initiatives. The incumbent must be able to manage multiple priorities in a busy work environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
