Pruett’s Market is a locally owned specialty grocery store that has a wide selection of the best, newest products and house made items. A fast paced, teamwork oriented environment, we are looking for a cake decorator/ pastry chef to join our team!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Provides excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to use decorating tools such as airbrush guns, modeling tools, and electronic mixers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Passionate on elaborate, attractive, and artistic pastry designs.
• Excellent customer service and actively engage our customers.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Experience in food service preferred, but not required.

• Packages, labels, and prices pre-made and in-house desserts.
• Maintains full stock of in-house and pre-made dessert in display cases.
• Cleans in-house & pre-made dessert coolers and freezers.
• Keeps up-to-date with the latest trends in both flavors and aesthetic appeal.
• Places, designs, and decorates cakes for custom orders.
• Maintains a cleans work area and performs other cleaning tasks.
• Adheres to health and safety regulations by maintaining product freshness and sanitation.
• Able to provide information/knowledge to customers about products.
• Assist cafe with all baked goods.
• Assist with bread baking when needed.
