  TITLE: Director – Information Technology (IT)

  SUPERVISOR: Chief Financial Officer
• 
  HOURS PER WEEK: 35 (Exempt Status)
• 
  QUALIFICATIONS: BS in a Computer Related Field required; four (4)
  years of experience or training in the field of computer network systems or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must possess a sound working knowledge of computer network hardware and software (Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Microsoft Office 365) network management, network security software, and network protocols for agency users including the NYS Connections System and the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

  REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform the physical demands of
  the job. Must be able to climb stairs daily and lift and carry 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to report to agency in case of a substantial emergency.
• 
  FUNCTIONS: To work with each department analyzing the need for systems application and to develop and implement a master plan for integrated computerization of the agency, including identifying appropriate hardware and software.

• Maintain all network system (wired and wireless) hardware and software components ensuring network reliability and integrity.
• Maintain integrity of agency-wide IT system software and modify and update system as needed.
• Provide daily help desk assistance to staff in all agency departments.
• Become familiar with the agency EHR and provide helpdesk assistance to staff using that database.
• Administer Payeezy, the agency credit card utilization software.
• Perform daily monitoring of the agency data and email backup system.
• Update and edit the SAI Website as needed.
• Perform daily monitoring and security of all network functions.
• Meet periodically with the agency Executive Team, Program Administrators and Department Supervisors to evaluate individual departmental needs.
• Supervise the Assistant Director - IT and any other personnel assisting in agency IT. activities.
• Recommend network system expansion, modifications, and enhancements as needed.
• Install new network components and expand or upgrade services as needed.
• Confer with software and hardware vendors and consultants to solve computer and network problems.
• Represent the agency as Security Manager for the OMH Security Management System (SMS)
• Represent the agency as Security Coordinator and Application Security Coordinator on NYS OCFS Connections Application.
• Submit IT reports, written plans and budget estimates.
• Update and edit SAI Webpage as needed through WordPress Webpage Application as requested by Executive staff
• Monitor all expenditures for agency IT systems.
• Help with telecommunications applications where applicable and manage the agency telephone system extensions through the use of the Avaya IP Office Manager Software.
• Follow all Agency and Governmental Health and Safety Regulations and report all hazards and emergencies as soon as possible.
• Attend all mandatory agency in-services and other trainings as needed or required.
• Abide by the NYS Justice Center Code of Conduct for Custodians of People with Special Needs and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics.
• Complete special assignments/duties as requested/required.
