Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.   Be part of the team that’s up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.  About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?   We are seeking an experienced and proactive Traffic Supervisor South to join our Beveridge to Albury Project.   The Traffic Supervisor will oversee traffic management operations across our Southern sites located in Wandong/ Broadford: Marchbanks, Hamilton and Short.   In this role, you will ensure the successful implementation of traffic management plans across multiple southern sites while prioritising safety, compliance, and minimal disruption to the public.  Project Description   Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.   The Beveridge to Albury (B2A) project is the Victorian portion of the program undertaken along approximately 305 kms of existing northeast rail corridor between Beveridge and Albury. B2A is staged in two tranches. Tranche 1 includes enhancement works across four sites and corridor wide works.   Tranche 2 works will be delivered by John Holland and includes adjustment of track alignments, the provision of new road overbridges and station modifications to enable the safe operation of double-stack freight trains across eight B2A project sites between Wandong and Benalla.   Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;   Overall responsibility for the role on this high-profile major project includes: Plan, implement, and oversee traffic management systems across the Marchbanks, Hamilton, Short, and Wandong sites. Supervise and coordinate traffic controllers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved traffic management plans. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor traffic flow, identify potential risks, and enforce regulatory compliance. Collaborate with local councils, regulatory authorities, and project stakeholders to secure permits and approvals for traffic management activities. Provide timely resolution of traffic-related challenges to maintain smooth operations and minimise disruptions. Maintain detailed records of traffic management activities, including incident reports, compliance documentation, and daily logs. Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to John Holland’s safety standards and proactively addressing any risks.  To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;   Proven experience in traffic management, preferably in a supervisory capacity within the construction or infrastructure industry. Current Traffic Controller and Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) accreditation. Strong knowledge of traffic management regulations, codes of practice, and relevant Australian Standards. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders. A commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of traffic management. A valid driver’s licence and White Card (Construction Induction).
