OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated, talented and detail-orientated Marketing Assistant to join our growing team!
Based in Busby, to the south of Glasgow, Riverside Music College offers a range of innovative industry-leading commercial, educational and community-led creative arts services.
The ideal candidate will support various marketing initiatives, contributing to the development and execution of marketing strategies. This role requires a blend of creativity and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in various marketing tools and platforms. You will play a vital role in enhancing our brand presence and driving engagement across multiple channels.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong ideation and creation skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in a marketing role.
  • Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with CMS (Wordpress).
  • Ability to film, edit and post high quality video content.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and KPIs.
  • Passion for content creation, music and the creative arts.
  • Knowledge of GDPR regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Marketing Manager to develop strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager to prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Analytics which track campaign performance and ROI.
  • Manage social media accounts, creating engaging content and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging platforms to ensure social media growth and engagement.
  • Assist to develop and deliver a social media communications calendar that aligns with business goals.
  • Assist to create visually appealing marketing materials using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Update news stories / blog on our websites using WordPress creating compelling copy.
  • Organise coverage (filming / photography) for all internal and external RMC events where appropriate.
  • Liaise with current students and Alumni, and the wider RMC network to create valuable content.
  • Organise and create mail campaigns and assist in maintaining customer lists.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Oversee and maintain marketing permissions in line with GDPR.
  • Engage with industry partners, artists, and influencers to grow our audience and brand.
