Based in Singapore, ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community. Youths for Autism (YFA) Internship Programme (https://yfa.autism.org.sg/) offers passionate and motivated young individuals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students and clients with autism. Interns will be meaningfully engaged in special education or inclusive workplace settings, while contributing to the learning, development, and well-being of students or clients in a supportive and inclusive environment. As a YFA Intern, you will be deployed to one of the following departments based on your interest, strengths, and organizational needs: Teaching Track (Primary, Secondary, or Vocational Track) Digital Academy Early Intervention Programme (EIP) Employability and Employment Centre (E2C) Your Impact and Contribution: Support teachers or job coaches in delivering daily learning and engagement activities for students or clients with autism. Assist in managing routines and ensuring a structured, safe, and supportive environment, whether in the classroom or workplace. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students or clients, based on their individual needs. Help with the preparation of teaching, training, or vocational materials and resources. Participate in student care activities, such as mealtimes, transitions, and outdoor learning. Collaborate with teachers and other team members to support the holistic development of students. Support school-wide or centre-wide events and initiatives (e.g., learning journeys, career fairs, or social activities). Learning Outcomes: Develop greater awareness and understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
