Responsibilities Greets the patients as they arrive at imaging reception desk and gets them checked in, notifying the appropriate modality of their presence. Answers incoming calls, taking adequate messages. Faxes or mails reports as requested. Burns CD or pushes images electronically as requested. Release of information is then documented in Quick disclosure. Digitizes mammography films as needed and loads outside images into the PACS system. Notifies technologists of STAT procedures and additions or cancellations to the schedule. Do weekly QC check for mammography. Assists Imaging Technologists with obtaining checklist and screening forms. Assists Imaging Technologists with patient throughput. Qualifications Must be able to read and write English at the equivalent of a high school graduate Six months previous medical-related field Knowledge of medical terminology
