  Location: Negotiable may be based at any NCAT Consumer and Commercial Division Registry (Sydney CBD, Penrith, Liverpool, Tamworth, Newcastle and Wollongong) Employment Type: Ongoing full-time – 2 roles available Salary: $149,739pa to $173,174pa – plus super and annual leave loading     Your role   The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) provides specialist Tribunal services with a simple, quick and effective process for resolving disputes and reviewing administrative decisions.  The types of cases dealt with by NCAT are broad and diverse. These range from tenancy issues and building works, to decisions on guardianship and administrative review of government decisions.   We have two new and exciting Registrar roles available within the Consumer and Commercial Division  of the Tribunal. NCAT’s Consumer and Commercial Division deals with everyday disputes in areas like housing, property, and consumer issues. Common dispute types include tenancy, strata, home building defects, dividing fences, and retirement village matters. It also covers consumer claims about goods and services, motor vehicle issues, and retail lease disputes. NCAT aims to resolve these through conciliation or hearings, offering a practical and accessible way to settle conflicts.   The Registrar roles are senior leadership positions responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Division, supporting Tribunal Members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and accessible dispute resolution services. As a Registrar, you will lead teams, drive service and process improvements, and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and performance of the Division and Tribunal.     What you’ll do   The Consumer and Commercial Division Registrars will collaborate to ensure the delivery of efficient, consistent, and high-quality services across the Division, promoting alignment in processes and shared accountability for outcomes.   Registrar Consumer and Commercial Division Operations The Registrar Consumer and Commercial Division Operations will be responsible for a range of key operational and support functions, including case management, scheduling, listing, and file management. They will provide day-to-day to customers and tribunal Members.   Registrar Consumer and Commercial Division The Registrar Consumer and Commercial Division will play a critical role in managing staff and supporting Tribunal Members, including overseeing infrastructure needs. They will act as a key escalation point for a range of issues and complex queries. The role also involves managing the Consumer and Commercial Division’s digital space, engaging with stakeholders, and overseeing the Consumer and Commercial Division’s budget.     What we’re looking for   We are seeking applications from those who thrive in collaborative environments and bring a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
