PSAs do a range of tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning, patient transfers, and equipment handling. Working as part of a team and on their own, PSAs are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and patient support across the hospital.   Key responsibilities include (but not limited to): Daily ward cleaning, discharge room cleans, and unscheduled cleans Patient transfers using equipment such as hoists, slides, bed movers and wheelchairs Ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols at all times. Bed making and discharge cleans Patient discharge assistance Mortuary transfers Ward equipment, cleaning and transferring Supporting clinical staff with patient care tasks as directed Physical work including lifting and manual handling Meal Delivery and service.   We currently have an opportunity available: Position 1: Unit 3 Mental Health Weeks 1 & 3 Saturday to Tuesday 0800 – 1800 Weeks 2 & 4 Monday to Wednesday 0800 - 1800 Total Hours per fortnight: 66.50 hours   About You: To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in patient services within a hospital, aged care or commercial cleaning setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices. You will have a passion for patient care and approach patients with respect and empathy. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills; as well as intermediate computer skills.
