Jefferson Parish is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated leader who can work effectively and collaboratively with the Parish Administration, Jefferson Parish Council, Department Heads, as well as other Local, State and Federal governmental agencies and public officials. The Accounting Director leads and manages the financial accounting operation of the Parish, ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards, laws and regulation. The role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, overseeing budgetary controls, preparing financial reports, managing audits, and supervising accounting staff. The Director supervises approximately twenty (20) employees and oversees an annual operating budget of approximately $2,500,000.
