Working with the Shrewsbury West & Rural community mental health service to delivery a high standard of care to those accessing the service. Offering interventions to adults experiencing complex and enduring mental health that impacts on their day to day functioning. You would be working collaboratively with all disciplines within the team and contributing to the wider MDT but closely aligned with the team psychology provision and under the guidance of the clinical psychologist.
Core service hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of service users by assisting qualified practitioners in the delivery and evaluation of cost-effective services that meet Trust and Directorate objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations. To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the close supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with the Clinical Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. To work with inpatients, outpatients and staff of the Shropshire Mental Health Services. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
