Business Data Analyst sought by Gulf Beach Hotel, Inc. d/b/a Perdido Beach Resort, in Orange Beach AL to perform the following duties: * Developing business solutions and success metrics to identify growth opportunities through SQL query analysis and modeling of large complex datasets. * Tracking and forecasting business performance against KPIs, generating dashboards for non-technical stakeholders, and creating insightful (yet digestible) presentations that evaluate business strategies. * Ability to leverage PMS and market data to maximize total hotel room revenue by providing data analysis and technical knowledge of the competition and distribution channels, enabling the creation of pricing and supply models to meet demand forecasts, competitor pricing, and market trends. * Model data and create visualization reports using MS Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data warehouse analytical tools and data visualization tools like Tableau or MS Power BI to identify opportunities for revenue growth and market penetration. * Create hotel performance evaluation reports to verify that strategic pricing and restriction decisions by market segment and channel successfully achieved revenue goals. * Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to management. Job Requirements:   Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any field, and (6) six months of experience handling large amounts of data and turning that into meaningful metrics. (6) six months of experience must include: * Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations. * Knowledge of Relational Databases and Microsoft Suite (including proficiency with PowerBI and Excel). * Hands-on experience manipulating large data sets and creating custom data models within visualization tools. * Working in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. * Modeling data and creating visualization reports using MS Excel, Access, SQL, Tableau and/or other data warehouse analytical tools. * Must hold CRMA (Certified Revenue Management Analyst) Certification. * Must hold Hotel Revenue Management certification.   Salary: $ 80,850.00
