We are now developing an innovative long-life energy source that runs on post-consumer scrap, or “abandoned” aluminum, as a fuel source - displacing hydrocarbons and complementing other battery solutions such as lithium-ion.
This job is based in Sarnia. You will report to our Testing Services Lab Manager and will play a crucial role in supporting our team in designing, testing, and troubleshooting systems.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing full-stack applications that integrate industrial hardware, cloud services, and AI tools. This role requires strong backend and frontend development skills, proficiency in Python and C#, and experience leveraging AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance software functionality and user experience.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-3 years of proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MERN stack and Vue.js.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and C#.
• Knowledge of SQL, with experience using PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git and GitHub for source control.
• Knowledge of Kanban or other Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI in software engineering, including using LLM tools for code generation and debugging.
• Knowledge of IoT concepts and cloud services; familiarity with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to gather and translate requirements effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in team atmospheres or individually with little supervision.
• Strong understanding of WHMIS and SDS.
• Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations.

• Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist in coding and apply AI concepts to improve application functionality and user experience.

• Work with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL, for data management and reporting.
• Gather and document requirements from stakeholders, translating them into actionable user stories.
• Adhere to a Kanban workflow to manage tasks, sprints, and projects efficiently.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle.
