About Udhyam: Udhyam Learning Foundation (Udhyam) is on a mission towards Making Bharat Entrepreneurial. We believe that entrepreneurial mindsets are a powerful way to channelize an individual’s potential as they enable agency and allow an individual to work on their strengths while creating value for the world. Our programs: Udhyam Shiksha works on developing entrepreneurial mindsets among the youth in the government high schools and enabling them to achieve their potential, having impacted ~24,00,000 learners across 10 Indian states. Udhyam Vyapaar focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; having already enabled up to a 27% income uplift for 5000+ entrepreneurs. Udhyam Shiksha’s Program Model: Udhyam Shiksha works in collaboration with the state governments to implement the Entrepreneurial Mindset Curriculum (EMC) in grades 9th to 12th. EMC is designed to build agency in learners by providing real world learning opportunities to high school students across 4 years. EMC is designed on the foundations of experiential learning and encourages learners to make choices, work in teams, go out of their comfort zones and try new experiences. About the role: Building teacher capacities in the government education system for facilitating student agency is deeply challenging. It requires teachers to reexamine their current ways of teaching and gradually build confidence in a completely new domain. We believe that nurturing student agency also requires investing in teachers’ own agency. At the same time, we recognise that the quality of teacher training at scale is often shaped by persistent, systemic challenges ranging from design limitations and delivery constraints to contextual realities on the ground. Therefore, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Manager for the teacher training and development vertical within the curriculum and pedagogy team, who can not only reimagine teacher development but also bring a sharp, diagnostic lens to the work. This role will require the individual to identify and unpack the core problems that impact training quality, especially in large-scale government systems, and to back-work from these challenges to design practical, context-sensitive solutions. The person will continuously examine what is not working, why it is not working, and what can be redesigned within existing constraints to improve effectiveness. This includes building training approaches and post training support systems that are not just theoretically strong, but also adaptable, scalable, and grounded in the realities of implementation. Roles & Responsibilities: Research and Design Articulate the objectives and extend the existing model of teacher learning. Research best practices in continuous teacher professional development, cascade loss, mindset change, coaching & other relevant areas. Gather participant feedback and improvise the content. Partner with other organizations in the domain. Adapt to tech-based training solutions. Learning and Development: Create and facilitate engaging learning experiences for teachers. Build facilitation capacity for master trainers and internal Udhyam team. Implementation/Program Management: Work in sync with the curriculum team’s vision and partner with curriculum members at various stages of teacher development. Collaborate with the SCERT and Ops teams to align on the training design and implementation. Manage a small team to achieve the goals of this vertical.
