Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition Must be able to identify and report need for repairs, unsafe conditions and respond appropriately in emergency situations Works in areas occupied by patients with known infectious diseases and will handle and transport infectious waste Cleans interior and exterior windows on a scheduled basis Conducts routine inspections of own area of assignment to ensure that departmental quality standards are achieved and maintained Rate and Shift Information: Wage Rate: $18.00 per hour; based on experience Minimum Requirements: One year of previous experience working in an institutional/health care housekeeping environment, preferred Ability to communicate at a basic level, orally and in writing, in English Ability to measure and proportion cleaning chemicals and solvents and calculate linen and supplies needed for work assignment Ability to work independently, without direct supervision Able to meet physical demands of position: Push and pull carts and equipment, up to 100 lbs.
