SFGATE UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism Summer Intern, 2026 Your Impact: We are looking for two budding digital journalists to join us here at SFGATE, the most-read media site on the entire west coast, for the summer of 2026. This opportunity will immerse the right candidates in the fast-paced world of digital media. They will learn the basics of day-to-day operations for a website with around hundreds of thousands of visits per day and contribute to the daily news cycle, getting valuable real-world clips, plus being part of daily audience building conversations. This position will work closely with our editors to assist with various curation and content-related tasks in all sections of the site. Responsibilities will be tailored to the candidates’ skillsets, but could include story research, article packaging, social media responsibilities, getting photos in the field, attending press conferences and other duties as may be assigned. You will get an opportunity to learn content ideation and occasionally write stories, as needed and as a development opportunity. Why SFGATE?
