SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience as a bartender with strong knowledge of mixology is an asset.
• Pro Serve Certification.
• Positive interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive team player attitude with the ability to work independently and a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and customer preferences.
• Take drink orders from customers or servers and manage multiple orders efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, including arranging glasses, bar tools, and ensuring sufficient stock of beverages.
• Describe and advise on wine and other liquor selections.
• Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware.
• Knowledge of wide range of alcoholic beverages.
• Enforce Alberta liquor legislation and regulations and Check customers’ identification to verify legal drinking age.
• Describe menu items including specials for customers.
• Serve food and beverages in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Take inventory and order supplies, ensure the bar is well-stocked.
• Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, traveler’s cheques or room billings.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by on duty Manager.
• Work safely. Obey all health and safety policies and procedures and report injuries and hazards immediately.
• Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest and business needs.
