SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Hospitality Assistant interacts directly with patients: taking meal orders, building and delivering meal trays.

• Takes and places patient meal orders through the Health Touch system, in accordance with the physician prescribed diet; as well as, staying in communication with patient care staff in regards to meal status, meal changes, new patient admits and patient discharges.
• Assembles patient trays using proper portion control and following the standard for placement of items; as well as, ensuring the meal meets with the state diet manuals; clinical dietitian’s orders and physician orders.
• Delivers quality service friendly service assuring the proper meal is delivered to patients through checking patient name and birthday, passes try to patient, assists patents as needed and rounds rooms once delivery is done to ensure patients’ needs are met.
• Builds and delivers late trays as needed and delivers the 10am and 3pm snacks to floors for diabetic patients.
• Adheres to all food safety/sanitation policies, following gel in gel out protocol; as well as adhering to all food safety/sanitation policies on food labeling and storage.
• Maintains equipment in a safe manner; as well as following all safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents immediately.
