Possibly the “Coolest” Casual Code Coach Job Ever!
How ‘bout we cut straight to the deal? Our small business is located in Greta, NSW. We are biased — but we are pretty sure we are the coolest place to work for, ever. And we really believe that we are changing the Tutoring and Education World (you will see what we mean when you check out our website!). Honestly, the job is not all roses and puppy dogs — there is some good news and there is some bad news. Let’s get the bad news out of the way first: The pay sucks, meaning, you won’t become a millionaire at iCode School. The pay is between $30-$35/ PH, you will have some extra spending money for sure, however if you are seeking a job to support a yacht sailing, world travelling, mansion buying lifestyle this no longer the ”coolest” management job ever, it is now the “suckiest” part time management job ever. Review point 1.
THE SERIOUS STUFF LOL
Now, let’s talk about the job requirements: 1. You need to be the type person who gets joy out of getting things done, correctly. Every day, you will bang out your jobs, make our clients stoked with your work and rave about you. You will do fun stuff. Important stuff. Necessary stuff. 2. You will be spending alot of your time teaching and chatting with our awesome students and their network. So, an understanding of social expectations, outstanding communication, patience and technology skills including and apps, and other computer-based stuff will be necessary. 3. Teaching and learning is the key. You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to other people. So, you need to enjoying talking with people, giving/getting directions, sharing your advice and giving your 2 cents worth. 4. You know, you need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good. 5. You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half-assed (we figured that one out ourselves). We need you to slow things down and get them done right. 6. We want you to be meticulous in your work. If you are quiet (which actually sounds great) that is totally cool. We are not looking for the life of the party…in fact, quite the opposite. We are looking for a good, fun person, who can relate to our students and teach them some awesome skills.
In short, your job is to help Megan and the iCode family in any way you can. And to have fun at work (who wants a job that isn’t fun?!?). Our office is casual, but we do expect professionalism, punctuality and to be a go getter! Our studios will need feature you most of the time, our team works in the classrooms so don’t expect a raving office, all the fun happens in the classrooms and we would love for you to get involved in the fun there!
But what we don’t expect is your existing skills to be perfect for you to qualify for this job. We can teach you that. We expect, A love of coding and a passion for working with children, A natural knack in engaging an audience, Patience to work with active inquiring minds, the ability to break down complex problems into smaller digestible pieces, this ability to be flexible and adaptable to the various needs of children
AND - Have Experience with or currently studying undergraduate or post graduate computer science, computer programming, game design, mechatronics or teaching degree.
Passion for Computer Science / Coding: You have a desire to learn about coding. You frequently read up on news in the field, and light up when talking about new technology.

If this is a job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer from you. But if you prefer compensation (and we totally get it…we prefer getting paid as well) this is what we offer: This is a Casual Code Coach job. The pay is $30-$35 per Hour. You must come into our Greta studios.
