IT Manager | Kawana, Sunshine Coast

Goodline is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our Head Office team on the Sunshine Coast, reporting directly to the CFO.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operation, security and reliability of Goodline's IT environment, supporting a broad group of desktop and mobile workers across our Australian operations.

The successful candidate will take ownership of our core IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks and end-user technology while working closely with our internal technology and development resources as Goodline continues to invest in modern systems, automation and digital capability.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a broad, hands-on IT management role with responsibility for the reliable, secure and effective operation of Goodline's technology environment and IT service delivery.

Goodline operates a modern, predominantly Microsoft technology environment spanning Microsoft 365 and Azure, hybrid identity and infrastructure, endpoint and mobile device management, cybersecurity, enterprise networking, business systems and internally developed applications.

You will lead the operational IT function and provide senior technical leadership and escalation support to the IT team and broader business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the delivery of IT services, infrastructure, networks, and user support across the business.
  • Manage cloud systems, endpoint devices, access controls, and technology assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Oversee cybersecurity, vulnerability management, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding processes, vendor relationships, and senior-level technical issue resolution.
  • Drive technology improvements, maintain IT standards and documentation, and support ongoing system modernisation projects.

The role will work closely with our internal system and technology team responsible for business applications, integrations, automation, data and emerging AI capabilities.

ABOUT YOU

We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on IT leader to take ownership of our technology environment and ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient. You will bring strong technical expertise, proven leadership capability, and a practical approach to delivering technology solutions that support business performance. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will lead IT operations, drive continuous improvement, manage risk, and help shape Goodline’s ongoing technology strategy.

  • Proven IT leader with the ability to take ownership of a complex technology environment.
  • Strong technical expertise across enterprise IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems.
  • Experienced in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing IT teams.
  • Confident managing vendors, service providers, and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to balance operational priorities with long-term technology strategy and improvement initiatives.
  • Proactive in identifying and mitigating technology risks while maintaining practical business outcomes.

Experience managing technology within a construction, mining, engineering or other geographically distributed operational business would be highly regarded.
