How Can I Help? In this role, you will support the delivery of high‑quality statutory financial reporting for Westpac Institutional Bank. You will prepare and review statutory financial statements and disclosure notes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Group policies. You will act as a trusted accounting adviser to the business, providing clear and pragmatic guidance on the application of accounting policy across institutional products. This includes supporting new product initiatives, assessing appropriate accounting treatment, understanding disclosure implications, and ensuring consistent policy application in practice. Working closely with WIB Finance, Group Finance, and offshore teams, you will help resolve complex accounting matters, strengthen financial control, and drive continuous improvement. Beyond statutory reporting, you will oversee month‑end reporting activities, including balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, journal preparation, and hedge accounting processes. You will partner closely with outsourced service providers to ensure accurate and timely delivery, while also coordinating intercompany processes and providing subject‑matter expertise on Multiple Reporting Currency (MRC) ledgers and their impact on Group AUD reporting.
