About the role We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Violence Support Worker to support women and families who have experienced family violence by implementing clientled case plans, addressing immediate needs, and escalating complex situations to senior staff as required. This casual, role in based in Sydney, NSW. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level 4. Due to the nature of this service, to identify as a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). How you will make an impact Provide a welcoming, responsive first point of contact for clients and address urgent or immediate needs. Work with leadership and case workers to take preventative action in potential high‑risk situations. Offer information that supports assessment of client needs, issues and circumstances. Build effective, respectful relationships that encourage self‑determination and active participation. Support clients to implement case plans in line with TSA case management models and practice standards. Encourage and empower clients to engage in their case plan goals. Assist clients to access appropriate support services. Monitor activities and communicate clearly with relevant staff for smooth handover. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date client records and data in accordance with TSA procedures. Identify risks to clients, staff or TSA and report them promptly to the Team Leader. Take preventative action to address workplace hazards following TSA procedures. Report incidents in required formats in line with TSA and funding body requirements. Identify service gaps and provide recommendations for service improvement to the Team Leader or Program Manager. What you will bring Certificate IV in social work, welfare, community development or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through experience and study. Experience working in a social service or community support environment.
