You’ll assess rehabilitation and reintegration needs, develop and monitor individual management plans, and work directly with the men in our care to motivate meaningful, lasting change. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Principal Case Manager, and based in Wiri, Auckland. As a Case Manager in the ASCF team, you’ll make a positive impact by: Assessing prisoner needs using specialist tools like SDAC-21 Developing and reviewing Prisoner Management Plans in line with best-practice standards Delivering brief interventions and motivating positive behavioural change Chairing case conferences and coordinating rehabilitation and reintegration activities Preparing Parole Board reports and attending hearings where required Collaborating with Reintegration Officers, Probation Officers, and community partners Serco is a place for you To be successful in this role you’ll have: Knowledge and experience working effectively with Māori and Pasifika people A warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental style with strong communication skills Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and related contemporary issues Strong written and IT skills, with the ability to make defensible practice decisions A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Psychology, Criminology, Social Work) Experience that will support your success could include: Background in rehabilitative services, allied health, psychology, or social work Knowledge of case management and reintegration practices Experience working with prisoner groups such as Māori, Pasifika or youth Exposure to the criminal justice or broader human services sector Community engagement and stakeholder liaison experience Understanding and application of Tikanga Māori and Kaupapa Māori in custodial settings Please note: You’ll need to maintain Ministry of Justice and NZ Police vetting clearances Authorisation/clearance by the NZ Department of Corrections may be required In joining us, you’ll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders that will help you achieve your goals.
