An der Fakultät für Maschinenbau ist am Lehrstuhl für Produktionssysteme und Automatisierung eine Stelle als
Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiterin (m/w/d) im Bereich datengetriebene Modellierung der Produktion // Research Associate (m/f/d) in the field of data-driven production modeling
zu besetzen.

At the chair of production systems and automation we are seeking a dedicated individual who can bring their analytical thinking and goal-oriented approach to our OpenDANS team.
  The goal of the research project OpenDANS is the creation of an open database for anonymised and standardised data on real world production facilities. A synergetic effort of research and industry at the OVGU Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt lays the foundation for open, standardised and comparable research as well as the development of new methods for optimization and artificial intelligence.
  As a research assistant, you play a crucial role in setting up and commissioning the OpenDANS database and carrying out related research projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Implementation of the research project OpenDANS
• Regular feedback and coordination of the results in the junior research group
• Preparation of scientific reports and publications and participation in conferences
• A scientific qualification as part of a doctorate is expected

REQUIREMENTS PROFILE:

• Completed scientific university education (diploma/master) in mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and German
• Good communication and information behavior, goal-oriented and structured way of working, initiative/willingness and ability to work, ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate as well as flexibility
• Interest in interdisciplinary research
• Initial programming experience
• Experience with Python is advantageous but not required
