Description:

Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield services company with divisions in pipeline, facilities, electrical, and instrumentation. Our Head Office is in Drayton Valley, AB with a secondary location 5 minutes from Sylvan Lake, AB on Highway 11.
Newforce has an opening for an experienced 10-tonne Picker Truck Operator in the Sylvan Lake or Drumheller area.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Class 3 drivers licences with a 10 tonne lift ticket is a must.
  • 3 year clean drivers abstract
  • Oil field safety tickets; H2S Alive, Ground disturbance level 2, First Aid, Common safety orientation.
  • 3 years of work experience in the trade
  • Experience securing loads, pulling trailers, and operating 8 tonne picker trucks.
  • Able to read and follow maps to remote locations.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
  • Understanding of Specifications, Codes, and ABSA standards.
  • Applicants must be within Sylvan Lake or the Drumheller region.

Responsibilities:

  • Installations and maintenance of piping systems
  • Tie-ins for new and existing systems.
  • Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required shape using hand and power tools.
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of the piping system.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systems.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate the system.
  • Pigging and testing of pipelines.
  • Painting, housekeeping, and other laborer duties.
  • Follow all company, client, and OHS safety requirements.
