HUMAN RESOURCES PEOPLE EXPERIENCE LEAD: $19 - $21 PER HOUR
This posting is an office position for restaurants operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The HR People Experience Leader is responsible for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical people standards. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The HR PEL works with restaurant leaders to set the restaurant’s people goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals. A HR PEL is required to have some flexibility in their schedule to be able to have touch points with people on different shifts at the restaurants.
To meet our people goals, the HR People Experience Lead doesn’t work alone. He or she works with a team of leaders that have specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping the General Managers to set their own goals, follow up on their progress, and provide coaching and direction to improve the restaurant’s performance.
Ideal candidates should have previous Human Resources experience with proven results in hiring, training, turnover, talent development, employment laws and the development of policies and procedures. A background in quick-service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
- The HR People Experience Lead (PEL) will support the Human Resources functions for multiple McDonald’s restaurants. The position will support hiring, recruiting, employee onboarding, orientation, training, and development. The HR PEL will create and enforce company policy, and wage and hourly administration.
- The HR PEL performs tasks to administer and execute HR programs for the restaurants including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, time punches and organizational development.
- Oversee strategic people planning by tracking and monitoring trends in turnover, headcount, succession plans and providing recommendations for staffing
- Performs periodic audits of HR programs to ensure the accuracy and integrity of restaurant-level data
- Maintains and reports HR metrics
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in responding to employee relations issues
- Assists with HR-related pre and post-responsibilities for each restaurant
- Coach and support management through a variety of HR-related focus areas
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Assists with compliance and training, development of job descriptions, employee handbook, development of policies and procedures benefit related matters and new hire/talent acquisition
- Supports the Owner and Director of Operations with administrative responsibilities as well as all phases of workforce planning
