We’re seeking someone to join our team as a 1st Line Operational Risk Director to support key governance and control programs across major risk platforms including Operational Risk Management, Incident Management and Supplier Governance.
In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley’s workforce, across our global workplace locations, to effectively and efficiently work in the service of our clients. This is a Director level position within Business Unit Management, which performs business management/CAO functions such as headcount management, financials, people processes, executive communications, and strategic support.

What you’ll do in the role: #LI-MB1 #BPGC #BPPM
Key role in driving broad Firm operational risk management agenda across various control groups including Operational Risk management,
Supplier Risk management, Business Continuity management, Model Risk Management, Technology and Information Security
Support key CS governance and control programs across major risk platforms including Operational Risk Management, Incident management, Supplier Governance.
Lead management reporting and transparency objectives by creating and publishing various Risk Management reports including the monthly Risk Scorecard.
Support key risk objectives for enhancing our global risk management strategy, driving effective risk management culture, and promoting awareness and transparency programs across the division.
Manage critical projects tied to departmental risk objectives with focus on process improvement and enhanced outcomes that reduce the Firm’s risk exposure.
Analyze key risk metrics for trends (including delinquencies, data leakage, entitlements, supplier risk issues, and incident reporting) and formulate observations into recommended improvements.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of business continuity plans and crisis management protocol across all CS functional groups.
Participate in the business continuity program governance process including driving semi-annual continuity plan updates, rapid notification testing, and crisis management communications.
Help manage supplier governance (i.e., compliance with governance framework) and ensure critical deliverables are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

What you’ll bring to the role:
2-4 years of related experience in operational risk management and/or management reporting or equivalent
Demonstrated attention to detail balanced with ability to think strategically.
Excellent problem-solving, project management, analytical, and sound logic and judgment required.
Ability to effectively work across multiple teams, culture and time zones.
Demonstrated strong work ethic and highly motivated to learn and develop.
Proactively manage expectations while juggling multiple high-priority, time-sensitive deliverables simultaneously
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, communication, presentation, interpersonal and client services skills
Possess intermediate to advanced software skills particularly MS Power Point, Word and Excel
