Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION:

  • 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 mos. work experience in .Net Framework as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems AND 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 mos. work experience in .Net Framework as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems AND 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 mos. work experience in .Net Framework specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

  • Performing testing & debugging (e.g. compares program performance against specifications).
  • Assisting with analysis & design (e.g. defines & documents program requirements).
  • Reading, writing, extracting & reporting from individual files (e.g. within bwcohio.gov application systems).
  • Creating & modifying program modules (using Microsoft Visual Studio & C#).
  • Compiling with software reusability guidelines (e.g. Agile software development methodology).
  • Using report generators, data manipulation, data query, program tracing/debugging, software development & versioning tools (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio & Team Foundation Server, SQL).
  • Learning & acquiring new skills via training, seminars, self-directed study & research of published materials & applies development process (e.g. Agile development methods & techniques).
  • Assisting higher-level software developers in the development of application-related training materials & software user-guides
