Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
- Part time, fixed term August 2024 – February 2025 Registrar position (parental leave backfill), focusing on Vascular Anomalies and Paediatric Dermatology
- 4 x Outpatient clinics per week.
- The successful applicant will also participate in the General Medicine Short Stay / Evening Medical Lead Registrar Rosters (weekend commitment approx. 1 in 5), and the Junior Medical staff weekend on-call roster. Weekend rostered shifts are paid in addition to the weekday rostered hours, paid in accordance with the applicable enterprise agreement.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Being part of the broader team, involved in clinical service in the outpatient setting, Short Stay Unit as well as hospital leadership in the Evening Medical Lead role
- Clinical care of acute paediatric conditions in the Short Stay Unit
- Provision of clinical care in the outpatient setting in a supervised capacity in Dermatology, Vascular Anomalies and Paediatric Skin clinics
- Attendance at Gen Med and RCH educational activities
- Liaison with RCH internal clinical teams and external providers to facilitate continuity of care
