Description:
2025 Finance Placement Glasgow
We are thrilled to share that we are looking for seven high-calibre bachelor’s or master’s students to join our Finance department on a 12-month placement at our vibrant Glasgow office.
From day one, our placement students are fully integrated into Team Hilton. Our placements offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as networking with senior executives, involvement in regional conferences and for some, international travel.
Based in our Glasgow Corporate Office, you will benefit from our social area, including a table tennis and pool table. We’re a five-minute walk from Central & Queen Street Train Stations, and Buchanan Street Subway and only metres from several bus stops.
Within the EMEA Corporate offices, you will be part of a cohort of 40+ Interns, working across various corporate teams and involved in our leading Intern programme. This includes regular connect meetings, short assignments and feedback sessions designed to support your development.
PROCESS-TO-PAY (PTP) PLACEMENT:
The PTP Team are responsible for ensuring correct expenditure accounting within Hilton by leading the efficient operation of processing and paying over 800,000 US and UK invoice transactions each year (translating to roughly half a billion US dollars!). Sometimes referred to externally as Accounts Payable, the PTP Team ensure that all Process to Pay processes are managed and measured with a ‘first time right’ mentality and are constantly looking for new ways to optimise delivery within their area of expenditure control.
As an Intern, you will support across the entire lifecycle of purchase expense management, ensuring that payment performance is optimised, financial controls are complied with, and performance metric targets are achieved: all right first time.
