Our Investment Services team

Our Investment Services organization is comprised of two branches:

  • U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust & Custody is a leading provider of corporate trust services and custody solutions in the United States and Europe, serving private and public companies, government and tax-exempt entities, and financial services companies. Our teams provide expert guidance backed by financial strength and resources to help our clients achieve success.
  • U.S. Bank Global Fund Services offers a full array of finance functions: fund accounting, fund administration, regulatory support, transfer agent and custody. Our solutions are available as a comprehensive suite or independently. Clients serviced are firms that offer registered and unregistered investment vehicles. Vehicles we provide services to include open-ended, closed-ended, hedge funds, fund of funds, offshore funds, exchange-traded products or UCITS. Some of our client relationships began at our inception. Creating and maintaining strong partnerships with our clients is at the core of what we do.

What you’ll do
Investment Services Development Program Analysts are a critical part of our team, who ultimately serve a broad base of clients. Each analyst will achieve a solid foundation for a meaningful and growth-oriented career within the firm; many of our managers and directors have started their careers as successful analysts.
Investment Services Programs are set out to achieve results-driven goals; they have a strong focus on meeting clients’ needs, with diverse roles broadly focused on operational, comprehensive asset servicing management. Our ideal candidate is operations-minded, with interests in data analytics and serving our clients across an end-to-end lifecycle of transaction management.

AS A TAX ANALYST, YOU MAY EMBARK ON:

  • Research tax technical and Financial Reporting guidance and requirements.
  • Prepare IRS Forms 1120-RIC, 8613, 1065 and Schedule K-1s along with any required state and local tax Forms. Coordinate the distribution of necessary tax forms and supporting schedules to investors/partners.
  • Prepare mutual fund taxable income calculations, including book-to-tax differences for fiscal and excise tax purposes, in addition (i.e. wash sales, 1256 adjustments, §988 adjustments, PFIC adjustments and others) and arrive at taxable income for hedge funds and investment partnerships.
  • Assist in the preparation of Forms of Form 1099-MISC.
  • Prepare income and capital gain/loss estimates, including book-to-tax differences as requested by client
  • Prepare dividend distribution calculations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date
  • Basic understanding of financial terms, concepts, and applications
  • Ability to start fulltime development program on June 23, 2025

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accounting degree - high priority
  • General understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles in investment management industry
  • Strong interest in operations and data analytics
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, flexible attitude and a desire to pitch in wherever needed
  • Developed problem solving skills and a solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges
  • Outstanding teamwork and project execution skills with multitasking capability
  • Unwavering integrity and ethics
  • Proficient in Office 365, with strong skills in Excel
    Working model and hours:
    This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. Development program members work approximately 40-hours each week in this fulltime role.
