Nanosurf Industrial Solutions provides customer specific engineering to build fully automated and unique metrology systems for production-scale QC and R&D.
You are an experienced automation and service engineer (5+ years) with a degree in automation technology, robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering or computer science. You communicate confidently in English and you write and speak German fluently.

Your tasks

• Provide 2nd level support to our service team and customer: Together with our service and development teams, you craft solid solutions to maximize uptime of productive systems
• Extend PLC and HMI control components of existing projects: Take part in development projects
• Communicate and collaborate with our development team in Switzerland and with industrial customers and commissioning teams in Germany
• Have significant impact on globally unique high-precision measuring machines

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in the development and commissioning of automation systems. Experience with customized machinery is a plus
• Exceptional motivation and drive to support the customer
• Writing clean and sustainable code following design guidelines is your level of expectations
• Professional handling of SIEMENS TIA Portal (v16-v19), WinCC , STEP 7 Safety
• Experience with common fieldbus networks and protocols (e.g., PROFINET, OPC UA/DA, TCP-IP)
• SIEMENS Motion Control (configuration of hardware and software, drive tuning, PID regulation)
• Digital and analog signal processing
• Experience with software architecture, object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, version control (e.g., git), issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) is a plus
