Description:

WHAT THE PROGRAM OFFERS:

You will work closely with the senior bankers in your office to underwrite real estate and develop a deep understanding of market fundamentals. You will also assist senior bankers as they meet with their clients on a regular basis to ensure we continue to meet their needs and to identify future opportunities. You will become an integral part of your office’s team and have the opportunity to assume a significant amount of responsibility that may include:

In this role, you will:

  • Work with senior staff to understand client needs and requirements and coordinate efforts to service clients by working closely with underwriting, pricing, and loan administration departments
  • Work directly with brokers and borrowers to prepare underwriting models for loan analysis
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of loan products and provide market intelligence to maintain competitive edge
  • Prepare asset summary reports and credit memos for senior management and credit partner review
  • Reviewing and assisting in the development of loan agreements and ancillary documents related to the closing of a transaction
  • Participating in property tours and site visits to develop a deeper understanding of the viability of the real estate and the related transaction
  • Engaging vendors to facilitate ordering and analyzing third-party reports, including appraisals, property condition reports, environmental reports, and costing analyses

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Relationship Management - Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Relationship Management
  • Commercial Real Estate (CRE) experience, including underwriting, property analysis, cash flow modeling, valuation, and market research
  • Familiarity with the various CRE asset classes, including office, retail, multifamily, industrial, self-storage, and hospitality
  • Basic knowledge of capital markets lending and securitization, including familiarity with rating agency cash flow treatment and valuation
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management
  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including advanced knowledge of accounting and finance function in Excel
  • A BS/BA degree with a graduation in May/June or December 2022

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Align with current 2 year cycle of Commercial Real Estate Analyst Program

  • $115,000 Annually

Real Estate Securitization & Capital Markets (RESCM) team is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Program Analyst to join the Conduit Origination team. RESCM is part of the Commercial Real Estate platform, which is one of the verticals within Corporate and Investment Banking ("CIB"). RESCM provides non-recourse, fixed and floating rate commercial real estate loans over a that are sold in the Commercial Mortgage Back Securities (CMBS) market.
