Description:
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
The Electrical Apprenticeship is a Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft Electrical award. It focuses on the development of a range of skills such health & safety, electrical science, electrical installations, wiring and panel control systems. Our Electrical Apprentices will be joining as part of our Maintenance Department to be based in both Plant 1 & Plant 2 in our Naas, Co. Kildare location. This is a 4 year programme made up of 7 phases, 4 onsite and 3 offsite college block locations. This is an ideal programme for any 2nd year apprentice looking for a supportive and progressive enviornment.
An Electrical Apprentice is a trainee technician supporting the maintenance team in performing corrective and preventative maintenance to a high standard. Over the course of a four-year program, our Electrical Apprentices will prepare and upskill to become a multi-skilled maintenance technician. The complexity of tasks increases as skills levels and competence develop within the program.

Responsibilities:
- Selection, procurement, safe use of, and storage of craft-related tools, equipment and materials.
- Selection and utilisation of fixing devices.
- Assessment, interpretation and implementation of ETCI wiring regulations, installation inspection and testing procedures.
- Utilisation of electrical test instruments.
- Installation of sub-distribution boards and protective devices.
- Installation and maintenance of lighting, heating and motive power systems and controls.
- Interpretation of technical data and manufacturing standards.
- Interpretation of equipment assembly, disassembly and adjustment procedures.
- Completion and updating of job-related documentation.
- Ensure that Health & Safety & Food Safety procedures are followed.
