Currently seeking to add a 2nd Year Welder Apprentice to our team.
Title: 2nd Year Welder Apprentice
Location: Edmonton, AB
Position Type: Permanent Full Time
Reporting To: Welding Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Valid class 5 License with clean abstract
· Physically capable
· Self-motivated
· Must supply your own tools
· 2nd Year Welder Apprentice
· Previous experience with knowledge of welding of heavy equipment will be considered an asset
· Experience including, but not limited to: Stick and MIG- Air arc gauging and oxygen lancing considered an asset
· Fabrication experience will be considered an asset
· Ability and skill set to work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to work individually or as part of a team
· Ability to work in an indoor and outdoor setting
· Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends
Responsibilities:
· Maintain and Repair equipment in a timely manner to provide proper functionality and availability. Including but not limited to: Frame welding, ice lugging, excavator stick and boom repairs, cutting and welding pipe and casings to specs
· Conduct thorough visual inspections to determine repairs required
· Conduct performance and quality checks
· Operating mobile welding truck to designated repair jobsites/locations
· Planned and unplanned maintenance
· Follow direction from supervisor
· Maintain cleanliness in working areas
· Follow health and safety policies
