If you are ready to lead a great team as an experienced Field Production Manager to achieve great things, then this is the role for you! Based at our Westfield depot in Otahuhu, you will be working across a variety of programs across Auckland.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
- Lead local experienced-based field input into job and resource planning.
- Be first point of reference for Gangers and field staff needing practical field advice on job delivery.
- Ensure Gangers within your area are delivering the right quality work using agreed systems and methods.
- Support Production Manager and others with over-view of the portfolio of work to ensure its running appropriately.
- Provide technical experience at job completion and progress milestones.
Ultimately you demonstrate the KiwiRail Frontline Leader competencies to build and lift team performance and ensure adherence to Codes, Standards and Rules.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- Strong background in track and or structure maintenance with a sound knowledge of Codes, Standards and Rules.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to grow a high performing team.
- Project management, research, and analytical skills.
- Experience with SAP or similar work project planning software.
- Experience using asset databases and ability to produce queries and reports from an engineering database.
- A commitment to Zero Harm.
Beside the above your strong communication skills will need needed to organise, influence, and relate well to others. Must also be able to work autonomously and prioritise conflicting demands.
Please note that you will also need to be able to travel and stay overnight on an occasional basis as well as be able to attend call back/outs when required.
