THE ROLE:

The 3PL Fulfilment and Transport Lead will be responsible for overseeing our third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, managing fulfilment center operations, and optimizing transport logistics to meet our high standards for speed and reliability. This role demands a detail-oriented, data-driven professional with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of e-commerce logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3PL Management:

o Oversee 3PL partnerships, ensuring they meet KPIs for order accuracy, lead times, and customer satisfaction.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and initiate corrective actions with 3PLs when targets are not met.
o Negotiate contracts and pricing with 3PL providers to optimize costs while maintaining high service standards.

o Manage daily operations within fulfilment center(s), coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.

• Transportation & Last-Mile Logistics:

o Work closely with carriers and 3PL partners to ensure on-time delivery for all shipments.

o Oversee last-mile logistics, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers.

• Process Improvement & Reporting:

o Continuously analyze and improve fulfilment and transport workflows to drive efficiency.
o Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key logistics metrics.

o Lead initiatives to scale fulfilment and transport operations as the business grows, including peak season planning.

• Cost Control & Budgeting:

o Track and manage fulfilment and transport costs to stay within budget.
o Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing service quality.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

o Demonstrable experience in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce fulfilment, with experience in a leadership role within a D2C e-commerce or retail environment.
o Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in inventory management and logistics software. Familiarity with WMS and TMS platforms is a plus.
o Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
o Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage external partnerships.
o Project Management: Proven experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
o Adaptability: Comfort with a dynamic startup environment, and able to adjust to rapidly evolving demands.
