Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified candidates will be comfortable in a multi-tasking, high-energy environment. They will be creative and analytical problem solvers with a passion for excellent customer service
  • Minimum two years in related role in distribution, logistics, or a supply chain environment preferred.
  • Proficient MS Office Applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of freight logistics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions; developing and sustaining productive relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime with little or no advance notice to complete own work and help coworkers. This would include weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Good attendance & punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating accurately & efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning work-orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc., in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Serve as the escalation point for service issues relating to customers
  • Freight billing approvals
  • Liaison with carriers to procure domestic and international freight quotes and resolved discrepancies as required.
  • Heavy data entry with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure timely and effective communications with customers regarding their shipments
  • Maintains an effective working relationship with each Warehouse Manager, to ensure positive communication of all issues relating to customer service.
  • Assist in the generation of transportation related reports and coordinate information between departments.
  • Using provided reports and tools, track all inbound orders from 3PL customers and help coordinate priorities for picking, compliance and shipping.
  • Documenting all outbound truck level shipments
  • Filing and office organization
  • Ensures the timely and accurate billing to all customers, through the development of effective policies, procedures, checklists, audits, etc.
  • Assisting in any clerical or floor duties management requires
  • Other duties as assigned
