Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a 3rd line Support Engineer you will be providing expert technical support to Attivo Group ensuring the technical estate is maintained and managed to a high standard. You will hold a pivotal role within the IT team, providing day to day support for our technical infrastructure, managing and maintaining the various technology platforms while ensuring escalated support issues are handled efficiently.
You will be responsible for optimising the operational efficiency of the business technology, improving the client and staff experience and ensure that company-wide systems are maintained, current, secure and optimal to provide the business with reliable IT services.
You will need to respond to incidents and be an escalation point for the internal 1st/2nd line support team as well as being a liaison point for escalations to external parties, providing guidance and advice where necessary to ensure minimal downtime for the business IT services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Responsible for the Azure Platform, including changes, documentation of configuration and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for the technical planning and configuration of MS platforms including but not limited to; M365, Teams, Intune, AAD, Defender, Purview, SharePoint.
- Act as the Cloud Management SME ensuring best practice is followed and aligned to industry standards.
- Design, code, and maintain PowerShell scripts (or equivalent technology) to keep cloud services performant, optimised, and up to date using automation.
- Maintaining regular Windows patching for our server estate
- Maintaining regular backups for our server estate and co-ordinating scheduled restores
- Provide insight into systems performance, ensuring that all business systems have necessary availability, reliability, and capacity.
- Supporting the network configuration and equipment within each office to provide services such as VPN, WIFI, and end point protection.
- Ensuring a security focused approach to technology, identifying and providing advice on improvements where necessary
- Follow IT security and risk management processes to mitigate potential risks and ensure exposure is minimal. Escalate any IT risks to the IT Operations Manager
- Ensuring the business has appropriate technical business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Regularly review configuration and access controls to ensure appropriate standards are met and maintained
- Monitoring and prioritization of the tickets, ensuring issues resolved and SLA’s met.
- Ensure that all systems are up to date, working with suppliers to identify interoperability risks and upgrade benefits are documented, shared, and implemented as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the business system eco-system to enhance capability, improve business efficiency, and internal/external customer experience.
- Create and maintain IT documentation
- Additional ad-hoc duties in line with the expectations of the role.
