EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Pipefitter
- Must have previous experience in a similar setting and industry
- CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS2015)
- May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sites
- May need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sites
- Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a motivated and ambitious 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Pipefitter for our fabrication shop located just NE of Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. Future project requirements may require additional overtime, work on weekends and work on project sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Assist journeymen pipefitters, supervisors and co-workers with pipefitting related tasks.
- Maintain equipment.
- Read blueprints and specifications.
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving of pipes, valves and fittings
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems
- Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
- Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
- Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
- Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
- Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition
- Ensure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely.
- Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards, procedures and practices.
- May perform other related duties assigned
- Maintain shop cleanliness.
