DESCRIPTION

NetSteady is a service provider dedicated to the delivery of advanced communications services to customers large and small. As Network Engineer, you will be an integral part of NetSteady’s network support team working with government clients to keep their operations running.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

The desired qualifications of the Network Engineer are as follows:

  • High school diploma with some college, industry certificates, or commensurate experience
  • Experience in management or project management desired
  • Experience with complex WiFi networks (100+ devices) desired
  • Experience with enterprise-grade networking standards required
  • Experience with wireless network design and deployment required
  • Ability and willingness to partake in competency assessments to affirm technical expertise will be required
  • Fluent in English with an ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical customers required
  • Ability to travel within the United States and Canada required
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test required
  • Candidate must live in Columbus, Ohio or surrounding area as this is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance on networks, infrastructure, and equipment;
  • Create and maintain documentation of infrastructure using Microsoft Visio and other proprietary tools;
  • Troubleshoot network issues and implement fixes in real-time, either remotely, or working with dispatched personnel;
  • Perform service audits, notifying management of discrepancies;
  • Perform network analysis, and take corrective actions in accordance with company policy;
  • Prioritize the troubleshooting process and properly manage time sensitive tasks;
  • Use remote control tools for troubleshooting and maintenance;
  • Exemplify a working knowledge of general office practices and procedures;
  • All other duties as assigned.
