THIS IS AN INTERNAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Division of Extension and Engagement is seeking a 4-H Statewide Events Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.
Due to funding for this position, OSU will not sponsor immigration work authorization for this position (e.g. H-1B, etc.).
This 4-H Statewide Events Coordinator is with the Division of Extension and Engagement’s (division) Extension 4-H Youth Development Program. The primary work location for this position is the OSU 4-H Youth Development Office on OSU’s campus in Corvallis, Oregon. However, an alternative work location may be designated. Refer to the Working Conditions section of this position description.
The purpose of this 4-H Statewide Events Coordinator position is to provide oversight and management of flagship Statewide 4-H events and programs, events include but are not limited to: 4-H Participation at State Fair, Youth Voices in Action, and Summer Conference. This position will also coordinate youth participation in National 4-H events such as Ignite by 4-H and 4-H National Conference. Additionally, this position will offer logistical support (booking facilities, negotiating AV and meal packages and streamlining registration process) for events coordinated by State Staff Program Managers such as (Outreach Leadership Institute, Volunteer Forums, Spring Classic, and State Shooting Sports Tournament).
This 4-H Statewide Events Coordinator is expected to apply principals of positive youth development to the areas of Family and Consumer Science (textiles and clothing, foods and nutrition, food preservation, fashion revue and designing spaces) and Expressive Arts (photography, art, fiber arts, cake decorating, leathercraft, ceramics, and performing arts). The responsibilities of this position will focus on creating educational programs, curriculum and learning opportunities/contests for youth, volunteers and 4-H youth development faculty and staff in the areas of specialization.
